Lux After Dark, Lux's annual fundraising gala was held this Saturday, October 9. The kids' artwork was the star of the show and raised around $1,500 that will benefit all of our education programs. Thank you to all of our young artists that donated their work, and thank you to our Lux After Dark guests who purchased their work!
Guests went crazy over the brilliant gold sculptures, the collaborative crayon painting, and the bug and bird pillows (created from original student drawings). Our board members loved their portraits so much that we decided not to auction them off. Instead we will be hanging them in the conference room at Lux for everyone to admire!
Special thanks to the following artists who participated in Open Studio Fridays and donated their work to the Lux After Dark auction: Jules, Anna-Isabelle, Kelly, Lily, Connor, Natalie, Isabella, Mariella, Anabelle, Max, Lucas, Ellie, Adam, Catalina, Zoe, Sophia, Ryan, Joshua, Shai, Adi, Isabella, Alana, Amanda, Chloe, Ellen and Nick.

It wasn't even planned, but Troy and I both showed up to Free Saturday this weekend in matching bug shirts--designed and printed by Summer Art Camp students with the help of local screen printer Dale McLeod. Oh yes, and we have matching cotton candy too! You can get your own coolest shirt ever, and other products designed by young artists at Lux starting on October 20 in the Lux Store, but you'll have to wait until another Free Saturday event for the cotton candy.
